According to recent reports, Aaliyah was allegedly ‘drugged’ and placed onto the plane that took her life.
In August 2001, the Back & Forth vocalist died in an aircraft crash while filming the music video for Rock The Boat.
According to music journalist Kathy Iandoli’s new book, Baby Girl: Better Known as Aaliyah, the icon was given a sleeping drug when she expressed her fears about boarding the flight.

When Kingsley Russell, whose family had a cab and hospitality business in the Bahamas, saw Aaliyah for the first time, he was just 13 years old.
He was with her when his stepmother drove her team to the airport and worked as the baggage carrier.
Kingsley, who is now 33 years old, stated that the singer refused to board the plane and promptly fell asleep in the car his stepmother was driving.
She informed her colleagues that she was suffering from a headache.
