Eight international artists storm Lagos for free show

Eight International Gospel artistes have arrived Lagos for the biggest gospel musical concert, The Experience, which will hold tonight at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.

Some if the artistes sighted at the press conference currently holding at Eko Hotel and Suits include, Don Moen, Donnie McClurkin, Planet Shakers, Russell Evans Among others.

Other artists expected to minister at the free gospel concert holding tonight include some of Nigeria's finest gospel musicians Tope Alabi, Sammy Okposo, Nathaniel Bassy, Sinach, Chioma Jesus, Mercy Chinwo, Eben, Preye Odede to name a few.

Now in its 14'h edition, The Experience’s digital footprint continues to expand at a phenomenal rate, with online viewer-ship on 5 continents, in as many as 186 countries (including the Middle East). The Experience is broadcast live to no fewer than 46 nations on the African continent. In close to a decade and a half, The Experience has burgeoned, seemingly taking on a life of its own, and drawing hundreds of thousands to participate in what is arguably the largest single congregation of worshippers in a gospel music concert, on the face of the Earth.

"We recognise that Nigeria’s challenges include a paucity of opportunities and avenues for its youth to give expression to their talent and abilities. Therefore, it gladdens me to see that The Experience has become a platform for creativity, and understandably so, since innovation and disruption are key driving forces in the ethos of the younger generation", said the convener, Paul Adefarasin, during the press conference.

"Additionally, many members of our over three thousand strong volunteer workforce have, in the process of serving, discovered themselves and become successful entrepreneurs in diverse fields of endeavor. The entertainment, aviation, hospitality and logistics sectors (to name a few) receive substantial boosts attributable to The Experience which I daresay significantly contributes to the State, National and creative economies".
