When I had this new single ‘Smile’ from Wizkid, I really left we have produced a real another legend from the African continent to the world in reggae.
This single is more of reggae that gives you a cloud9 feeling if you love reggae. This is indeed a welcome development from the superstar. More than anything, it shows that Wizkid is ready to break the 'vibe' - which is a welcome development.
It also indicates an artist ist who is not in need none aggressive and difficult - this is greatly enhanced songwriting. The song was not published for the Nigerian market and is majorly geared towards the UK and the Caribbean - maybe with a little US appeal, the song stars H.E.R after all.
This song has the potential to appeal to the faithful fidelity of music lovers, and it is likely to really shift the ground and become a hit. Besides, H.E.R who is the featured artist doesn’t have the biggest pull for the Nigerian market Nevertheless, with the assertive advancement that Nigerian music is going through, it might just amaze us all and really catch on with the Nigerian market.
