Former President, Goodluck Jonathan Congratulates Wizkid and Burna Boy

Nigerian music stars Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid and Damini Ogulu who is better known as Burna Boy have both made history yesterday, when they both won their first Grammy Awards for their dedication and commitment in the Music Industry.

Wizkid won his first Grammy Award courtesy of his feature on Beyonce's "Brown Skin Girl", while Burns Boy on the other hand won his first Grammy Award for "Best Global Music Album" courtesy of his 2020 album "Twice as Tall."

Nigerians have congratulated the two stars for making Nigeria and the Nigerian Music Industry proud. Above all those who congratulated these two phenomenal musicians is the President Muhammadu Buhari, as he acknowledged their efforts towards making Nigeria proud.

The former President Goodluck Jonathan has also congratulated these history makers. In his words on his verified Facebook page, he wrote, "Congratulations to Damini Ogulu, (Burna Boy) and Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (Wizkid) for emerging as winners at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards. They took a giant leap for both themselves and Nigeria. There success is an inspiration to Nigerian youth and indeed all citizens that despite our challenges, we are people of great potentials. Nigeria will certainly make more significant marks in key areas of human endeavour that aid human progress in science and technology."

Congratulations to both Wizkid and Burna Boy on their first Grammy Awards.
