Just of recent a young man whose name has not been disclosed yet travelled all the way from yobe state to kano just to meet up with maryam,
After he has arrived in kano, the man located a studio which belongs to one of the hausa actors and request to see maryam, he was told she step out and will be back soon,
but he seems so desperate to wait and then drank poison which was later identified as fiya-fiya in hausa.
He was lucky to be rescued by Islamic police (Hisbah) and he was rushed to a near by hospital for medication.
The young man has not give any reason for his actions but report I gathered from an eye witness stated he did that for love.
Below are some pictures at the scene, where he was forced to take milk inorder to dilute the poison he took.
