Awilo Longomba is a Congolese musician who first started his career as a drummer in Viva La Musica, Nouvella Generation and Stukas.
He later left drumming for singing and released his first album, Moto Pamba in 1995 with the help of Shimita, Dindo Yogo and many others. In 1998 he released a hit album, Coupe Bibamba which gained international recognition. In 2001, he released Kafou Kafou and in 2004, he released Mondongo.
Awilo has performed live concert in Africa, Europe and North America. Evident of his versatility, he has done collaborations with new generation musicians like Psquare, Tiwa Savage and many others. His new single, Fidele is currently out on his YouTube channel. Moving to France in the 1980s, he currently lives in London, United Kingdom.
Awilo is happily married to Paradis Kacharelle and their union is blessed with beautiful children. Awilo's daughter, Man Awilo is also into music and is a socialite.

She celebrated her 27th Birthday on the 22nd of November and her father took to his instagram handle to celebrate her. On his post, he said, "Please help me to wish a Happy birthday to my lovely daughter @manawilo 🎂🎂❤️". Man Awilo currently lives in the United Kingdom.
