Love is a beautiful thing but for an average Nigerian man, love comes at a cost.
The need to constantly prove one's love with financial commitment has driven many Nigerian youths to do the unimaginable. No wonder there's an increase in cybercrime in the country as every young is "hustling" as they call it to meet up with the high standard set by their love interest.
A Twitter user by the name of @dearolaa tweeted about how her friend got engaged but had to call off the engagement because her boyfriend proposed with a 10k naira ring which she has supposedly seen on a vendor's Instagram post. Below is how she narrated the story;
The statement triggered many comments online, Nigerians on the bird app showed neither her nor her friend no mercy as they tore them to shades with their comment as seen below;
The materialistic lifestyle of many young ladies have led them to their doom, the number of vibrant young ladies running mad when been dropped from a car is on the increase, while many others are been killed for ritual purpose.
The Nigeria economy hasn't also been helpful as many are jobless and are easy prey for any type of diabolic practices.
With the current economic situation in the country, people are advised to live within their means to avoid running into debts, but for an average Nigerian man without money, what's his chances of finding love?
