Saheed Osupa And 2 Other Fuji Stars Who Have Never Engaged K1 To Perform At Their Personal Events

As entertainers for all occasions, Fuji musicians in Nigeria have performed for countless people at different events. For some, they have performed for them at Birthday Parties, and for some others, the occassion could have been Chieftaincy Installation Ceremonies, Wedding Ceremonies, Burial Parties, and so on. But the question is, when Fuji artistes are having events themselves, who performs for them?

Of course, they still engage one and another as the artiste on the band stand. But then, because King of Fuji music, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe Marshal better known as K1, is considered by many of his younger colleagues as a very big and glamourous artiste, some of them have shown, over time, that their personal events would not be complete without having the Mayegun of Yoruba Land as K1 is also called, as the main artiste of the day.

And that simply explains the reason why Fuji music star, Alhaji (Dr.) Sefiu Alao Adekunle also known as Baba Oko, had K1 on the band stand at the final burial ceremony of his late mum some years ago. And it is the same reason why Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Odetola popularly known as Pasuma first had K1 on the band stand, when he celebrated his 50th birthday few years ago, and later, when he staged a wedding party for one of his daughters, earlier in 2021. And same reason goes for why Ibadan, Oyo State, based Fuji music star, Alhaji Taye Akande Adebisi better known as Taye Currency, had K1 as the artiste of the day, when he did his house warming party, a couple of years ago.

But, it is also ironic that, while some Fuji music stars like those mentioned above, fancy K1 to perform, and add bigger glamour to their events, some others don't seem to care about K1, as far as coming to perform at their personal events is concerned. And, one of such Fuji music stars is King (Dr.) Saheed Okunola simply known as Saheed Osupa. Interestingly, when Saheed Osupa held a burial ceremony for his late mum, some years ago, he had K1 as one of the fellow Fuji stars he invited, like other Fuji music stars too. And, Saheed Osupa never gave the opportunity for any of them to perform, as they all attended as party guests.

And, that actually showed that, if Saheed Osupa had fancied K1 performing at his events, like some other Fuji music stars do, he could have seized that opportunity back then, to have K1 on the stage to perform, even if it would be just for 30 minutes, or less. But that never happened. Another Fuji music star, that has never had K1 come perform at any event organised around him, is Alhaji Abass Akande popularly known as Obesere. And, that is not a surprise, as K1 and Obesere never see eye to eye as Fuji artistes. And, the hostile situation has been like that for so many years, between the 2 of them. So, there is never likely to be an Obesere event that K1 would be attending, not to talk of performing there.

The third Fuji music star, who has not had K1 performed for him at any event is Alhaji Sulaiman Alao Adekunle better known as Malaika. Though, K1 and Malaika, have always been in good terms as Fuji music artistes, but it is not yet on record that, K1 has ever performed at any event organised around Malaika. Although, there is a good possibility of that happening in the future, but as at the moment, it has not happened.

So, just like it is for every human being that, everybody cannot feel the same way about one person, so it seems for K1 in relations to other Fuji artistes engaging him for their events. Because as some seem to be tripping for him, few others seem never to care a hoot.
