The meaning and importance of the Igbo words written on Obi Cubana's and his wife’s clothes

Obi Cubana is one of the richest men in Nigeria. Many successful men in the world like him have laid down guidelines which helped them acquire their enormous wealth. I have been very observant of where he is and I have discovered lots of things, especially the Igbo sentences written on some of his Ankara outfits and those of his wife, Ebele. After some research, I found out the meaning of the Igbo sentences and how they possibly reflect his success and the importance to humanity. They include the following.

(1) On Obi Cubana’s clothe, it was written,” Okpata Ozuora”: This is an Igbo sentence which literally means, "wealth that is extended to all." Recall that in his interview with the BBC after his mother’s luxurious burial, he disclosed that the philosophy that guides his life is to "help people as much as you can and also live a good life." He also backed these claims up by disclosing how he made over 50 people millionaires.

I believe that since he helped lot’s of people, according to the law of nature, those people would try their best to appreciate his efforts towards them. Even if Obi Cubana encounters failure, they will be there to uplift him especially by giving him business appointments.

(2) On Ebele’s Clothe, it was written “Odozi Aku”:

This is an Igbo sentence which literally means, "custodian of wealth or financial manager”. (credit:

There is a proverb which says that behind many successful men, there are supportive women. I believe that his wife has been helping him make some good financial decisions. Recall that they started dating even before he became successful.

This article conveys lots of moral lessons which, when put into practice, will make us prosperous. They include the following.

(1) Always help people around you.

(2) Do everything you can to find a good wife.
