Nigerian singer, Simisola Ogunleye, professionally known as Simi, took to her Instagram page on October 5, 2021, and shared how she felt during the social media blackout.
As we know, some social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp experienced a global blackout yesterday, October 4, 2021.
The situation lasted for about seven hours and caused worry amongst many millions of social media users who were taken unawares.
On Simi's IG page, she was asked the question "How did the social media blackout make you feel"?
The wife of singer, Adekunle Gold, said she thought there was a cyber attack worldwide, just like what we see in movies.
However, her mother had a different view of the global blackout.
Simi said her mother suggested that rapture had taken place.
And just like every loving mum would do, she held onto her little daughter, Deja, hoping that they won't leave each other.
Simi's reply to the question was quite amusing. Some of us might have felt the same way too.
