Nicole Young, the wife of Dr. Dre, has filed a lawsuit against the rapper and producer. The case revolves around the rights to his stage name and an album title, People reported Saturday based on court documents.
Dr. Around the end of his relationship with Young, Dre would have transferred the rights to his stage name and the title of his hip-hop album The Chronic from 1992 to a new company without Young's permission. The rapper and his wife both own the rights to his stage name and album title.
In the court documents, Young claims that Dr. Dre tries to "take away her property". The rapper and his lawyer have not responded to the allegations.
At the end of June it was announced that Young had filed for divorce after 24 years of marriage. She not only demands an amount of 1.9 million dollars (over 1.6 million euros) per month, but also 5 million dollars in procedural costs. The rapper's net worth is estimated at nearly $ 800 million.
