Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu a.k.a Burns boy becomes the first African artist to win three consecutive Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards. The artist on the 27th of June, 2021 became the winner of BET Award as the "best international act" for the year 2021 edition.
Having recently won Grammy Award in the year 2020 for his album twice as tall, the artist has now won the BET award three times at a stretch being the first African artist to do that. He won it in the year 2018, 2020 and now 2021 as Best International Act.
The artist expresses his feeling of gratitude on his official Twitter handle saying
" Thank you BET"
Some of his fans also took it to social media praising and congratulating him for another honor/award added to his name.
