The popular Abuja based Evangelist, Apostle Suleman who recently said he bought his third private jet during the lockdown and so does not pray for Covid-19 pandemic to go away has apologized for his statement.
Suleman, who is the General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries recently said he was prospering, so he does not pray for the pandemic to end. The statement gathered wide spread condemnation from Nigerians.
He however said that the statement "slipped out of my mouth."
In his defence against the backlash that followed, he said the video was edited by a fellow pastor who posted the video when he was delivering a message to a congregation of worshippers.
"when they brought the video, I discovered it slipped out of my mouth. There is no pastor that will pray for Covid not to end. It doesn't make sense."
He however was not apologetic about him owning three private jet.
"if you are angry I mentioned three jets; you go just die. That's the truth."
He said God will only be angry with him if he took offerings and tithe to buy a plane. Saying he has avenues through which God blesses him.
"what's your business? Is your money missing?" he concluded.
