A lot of people find it easy to point out the mistakes of others and become moral judges to them forgetting that they are without mistakes. This scenario often plays out when a celebrity is involved in a major or minor scandal.
Popular celebrity herbalist vendor, Jaruma weighed in on the scandal that trailed ex-BBN housemate, Maria Chike Benjamin and rocked social media yesterday. While judging Maria's morality, she made a statement that ended up contradicting herself.
Credit: Instagram/Jaruma/Maria ChikeJaruma who has always opined that women can date married men but not interfere in his marriage or try to draw his attention from his family contradicted herself when she said Maria should have nothing to do with a married man talk more of allegedly threatening his wife to leave him for her.
She also questioned why Maria would pose with his cars, watch, and dollars and offered a hand to Cubana Chief Priest should he decide to take up the matter legally.
If Jaruma can endorse single women to date married men, what outcome or result was she expecting? Why was she trying to judge Maria's morality or her decision for allegedly getting entangled with a married man?
This is just simply contradicting the advice and information she disseminated to her large followers of about 1.2 million. Jaruma should not be a moral judge to Maria because one of her own was affected. If Maria was not in the picture, would she have cried out against infidelity?
This simply tells us that we should mind the kind of advice we assimilate from public figures. That such advice came out from a public figure does not make it right or worthy of assimilation.
