Jerry Amilo who's popularly known as Don J. Amilo is a renowned award winning veteran actor, director, producer, entrepreneur, content developer, project coordinator, writer, film maker, brand ambassador and brand influencer, with 277,000 Instagram followers. He's the CEO of New Movies International.

Jerry Amilo is popularly known to act English and Indigenous movies, and known to mostly play action roles such as, being an armed robber, terrorist, and perpetrating all kinds of criminal activities in movies.

He joined the movie Industry in 1993. That was during the early stage of Nollywood, and played the role of Anini in movie 'Bruno And The Law", which brought him to limelight. Still in the 1990s, he had a fatal accident with his Lawyer, when he was going for Reels Awards, from Enugu to Lagos. His tyres developed fault and it somersaulted which made him and his Lawyer sustain serious injuries. Immediately they were rushed to the hospital, some days after, his Lawyer died and he was still in Coma. It took him 2 years, before he could be fit again.

He came back to Nollywood again in 2000, and feature in an action movie, 'Desperado' which made him popular In the industry. Since then he has been seen featuring in several movies.

He's one of the most respectable actor in Nigeria. Till date, he still features in movies, because he's very skillful and talented. God really saved his life, because he really sustain injuries in different part of his body.

Jerry was born on the 21st of July 1970 in Anambra State, Nigeria. He's currently 50 years old. He's also a native of Anambra State, where he had his primary and secondary school education, before proceeding to University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering.
