Queen Elizabeth Rejected The “Oldies Of The Year Award” Given To Her By The Oldie Magazine

In a report by the news media, it was revealed that the queen of England, Queen Elizabeth rejected an award called, “The Oldies Award” which was given to her by the Oldie magazine as they celebrates their 30th year anniversary of publication. For the last 29 years, the Oldie magazine has held the Oldies Awards ceremony to celebrate the achievements of those who have made special contribution to public life.

There has been many controversies and reactions as to the reason why the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth rejected the award. However, in a recent statement released by the queen, she revealed why the award was rejected by her.

In the letter addressed to the Oldie Magazine, Queen Elizabeth politely but firmly declined the award of the oldie of the year from the oldie magazine. Replying in person with her warmest best wishes, Queen Elizabeth, aged 95 stated, “You are only as old as you feel”.

The queen stated that she doesn't quite fit the criteria to be able to accept the award.

The Queen is to be commended for the wise way she Graciously declined the Oldie magazine invitation to be an oldie of the year. Queen Elizabeth released this statement through her response by her assistant private secretary, Tom Laing Baker to the award organizers.
