6 Nigerian Celebrities Who Lost Their Kids To Cold Hands Of Death

The prayer of all parents is to live a long time, then die and be buried by their children.

The loss of a child is therefore a traumatic and heartbreaking experience for each parent.

In fact, it is probably the worst feeling of all, and only those who have been victims can tell the story best.

Some of our Nigerian celebrities have had their share of losing their child in one way or another.

Here's a list of six of them.

1.Silva joke

Veteran actress Joke Silva and her husband Olu Jacobs lost their only daughter Dayo Jacobs many years ago, when she was 10, to the cold hands of death.

According to Joke, she had been in a coma for some time due to an undisclosed illness, but had to be separated from life support when there was no improvement.

The prominent couple have two children, Olugbenga and Olusoji, and are grandparents to a lovely girl.

2. Mr. Ibu

Comedian John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, lost his 2-year-old son, Emmanuel Mandela, on January 24, 2012.

Before his death, Mandela was kidnapped from his mother's side in 2011. However, they were released after paying a ransom.

This may have affected him, as he became ill shortly afterwards and was diagnosed with a swollen liver.

Ibu, however, blamed the hospital (LUTH) for the negligence and carelessness, adding that the hospital had not given him urgent care.The prayer of all parents is to live a long time, then die and be buried by their children.

3. iya rainbow

Veteran actress Idowu Philips, popularly known as Iya Rainbow, lost her daughter Sola Osborne on January 14, 2016 to complications from an ulcer.

The deceased, who like her mother was a prophetess, was reportedly on a constant marathon fast, which aggravated her ulcer condition.

She collapsed the night she died after returning from a retreat.

She died alone at the age of 46.

4. Eucharia Anunobi

The news of the death of Raymond Ekwu, the only son of the actress and pastor Eucharia Anunobi, was bad news for everyone.

Raymond died on August 22, 2017, at the age of 15, from complications due to sickle cell anemia.

Shortly after his death, Eucharia revealed in an interview that her son had been accidentally killed by his doctor.

5 Remi Oshodi "Surutu

The popular Yoruba actress also lost her beautiful daughter Ayomikun to complications of sickle cell disease.

Ayomikun died on July 2, 2017 after a crisis at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

6. d'banj

The news of the tragic death of the singer D'banj's son spread like wildfire, mainly because of the way it happened.

Daniel, who had celebrated his first birthday only a few weeks before his death, drowned in a pool at the singer's residence in Ikoyi on June 25, 2018.

The Kokomaster was on his way to an award ceremony in the United States when the sad incident occurred.

In September 2019, he welcomed another little boy.

I pray that God will continue to protect each of us and our children in Jesus' name.
