Popular Kannywood actress, Hajiya Zainab Musa Booth is dead. The death of the veteran Kannywood actress was announced by her colleague and fellow Kannywood movie star, Ali Nuhu, who confirmed the sad news via his official Instagram page.

Booth was popular in the Hausa movie industry and well-loved among fans for portraying motherly roles in movies.
She starred in the movie, The Milkmaid (2020) which was Nigerian’s representative for the best international feature category at the Academy award.

She was also nominated as the Best Actress in a supporting role at the Africa Movie Academy Award for her role as ‘Zainab’ in the movie.
According to reports, the actress died on Thursday night in Kano, following a brief illness.
Posting a picture of Zainab, Ali Nuhu took to the caption section and wrote;
“By Allah’s Grace, Hajiya Zainab Musa Booth has passed on, and her burial will be held tomorrow at her residence, opposite premiere hospital on court road at 8:00 am. God showered her with mercy and made paradise her abode, amen.”
