Opinion: Why Are Igbos still attacking each other even after chasing Fulani Herders from South-East

Sahara reporters has now reported how Fulani herders under Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, have revealed how the south east have been experiencing series of violence and attacks, even after the Fulani have left the south east, due to ban on open grazing.

The spokesman of the group, Saleh Alhassan said it proves that the Fulani herders were never the problem.

He claimed that what is currently going on in the south east is a manifestation of frustration, because they are still killing themselves even after herders have left.

Miyetti Allah may be right to say that southeast have still not experienced peace despite successfully chasing fulani herders from the East.

In the last few weeks, the eastern part of Nigeria have experienced series of attacks that have shown that truly Fulani herders were never the problem in the East.

It was just recently the husband of Dora Akunyili was murdered in Anambra, the home of Joe Igbokwe was also burnt, security personnel have not been spared to. Many businesses owners have had their shops looted, for disobeying sir at home, some have even lost their lives.

This definitely is a sign that the presence of the Fulani herders in the east was never the issue.

Why are the Igbos still attacking themselves?.

The Yorubas who faced similar challenges with Fulani herders in the past, have not had any issue of violence, ever since they drove away violent Fulani herders who destroyed their farm land, why then are the Igbos still attacking eachother?

What are your thoughts?
