Plants/Flowers that feed on Insects or Animals

Carnivorous plants consume animals to supplement the nutrients they absorb from soil.Most of the plant capture and digest Insects, while some eats frog and some other small Animals.

Here are some examples of Carnivorous Plants :

1. Pitcher Plant

This type of plants attract insects by secreting an attractive nectar along the lip of the pitcher-shaped leaf.

2. Venus Fly trap

This are carnivorous plants that can go long periods ,that is, A Month or Two. If you grow them outdoors, they'll get enough to eat naturally. If you're growing Venus flytrap indoors, you'll have to feed them bugs periodically.

3. Butter wort

The Butterwort plant may not seem like a carnivorous plant due to it's appearance, But in fact, the butterwort plant is able to curls its greasy leaves into a cup to trap any unwitting insects (prey} that may have traveled there.They use sticky, glandular leaves to lure, trap, and digest insects in order to supplement the poor mineral nutrition they need/Lack.
