Inside Nigeria's highest Mountain, the Gashaka-Gumti National Park.

According to Robert Louis Stevenson, he said: "It is not so much for its beauty that the forest claims men’s hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit".

Amusement Parks and wildlife parks are tourist attractions that individuals together their loved ones visit, have fun, play, and even make new friends. The Gashaka-Gumti National Park located in the mountainous region of north-eastern Nigeria adjacent to the international border with Cameroon is one of its kind.

The Gashaka-Gumti National Park is the largest in Nigeria, it covers approximately 6,731 sq km. The park's got its name from two historic settlements: Gashaka village in Taraba State, and Gumti village in Adamawa State. The National Park was established by a Federal Decree in 1991 by the merger of both the Gashaka Game Reserve with Gumti Game Reserve.  The Gashaka-Gumti Park is 450 meters above sea level from the plains of the Northern sector, while it is 2,400 meters above sea level from the Southern park sector, thereby, making it Nigeria's highest mountain.

Tourists and Visitors to the park enjoy the following; A green forest plus gliding grasslands, rough moody cliffs, and abundant wildlife. The park also houses some different species and breeds of animals and birds such as ;

The Giant forest hog, leopard, Yellow-backed duiker, chimpanzees, buffalo, lion, elephant, Wild dog, as well as numerous antelopes such as waterbuck, Roan antelope, kob, including Giant eland the world's largest antelope. With over 500 species of birds, the Gashaka-Gumti park is officially dubbed as one of Africa's "Important Bird Areas" . in addition to the above-mentioned attributes the Park also boost the abundance of creatures such as butterflies, flowers, and trees that make the park a natural paradise, unrivaled Anywhere in the world.
