Andoni Community: A Place In Rivers State Where Nature Unveil Its Deposits In A Beautiful Manner

Africa is a continent that is blessed with both Natural Resources and Wildlife; the presence of the these things which everyone can behold is what makes it an interesting thing to know that the continent is a blessed one. To illustrate how blessed Africa is, we will be looking at a community in Rivers State which is called Andoni Community.

Andoni is a Local Government Area in Rivers State and one of the major occupation of the inhabitants is fishing. Andoni is a Riverine area and rivers in the community provide a habitat for aquatic organisms that obtain their oxygen from water bodies which is essential for their survival .

One of the beautiful and interesting thing about Andoni is that nature keeps unveiling its deposits in a beautiful manner and months ago, fishermen in the community caught Shark in one of their rivers which they 'killed' and consumed it, although the act was condemned by many as Nigerians revealed how expensive shark is which would have fetched them huge amount of money if sold.

In a recent development, an Elephant was seen returning to Andoni community as residence came out to catch a glimpse of the undomesticated animal. The Elephant was seen walking majestically in the community and it is alleged that the Elephant came out from a forest.

The presence of wild animals and Marine animals in Andoni community would make one come to the conclusion that this part of Rivers State is blessed by God and it is a place where nature always unveil its deposits. It will be good if we stop killing some of these wild animals because majority of them are endangered species which might go into extinction in the nearest future.
