I will be sharing with you today some of the tangible reasons your hair smells as a lady.
Smelly hair can be very discomforting. When you are wearing a long hair, you must try as much as possible to keep it clean to avoid smelling.
Imagine when you are with your partner and he is discomforted by the odour from your hair. I will be sharing with you those things that can cause or make your hair smell bad.
Read on! If you notice any unusual, bad, or pungent smell, you have a smelly scalp and hair.
The main reasons for a smelly scalp and hair are excess oil (sebum), yeast and dead skin cells on your scalp.
Following are all the causes that lead to these kinds of buildups on the scalp:
1. Lack of Washing
When you do not shampoo your hair enough, it can build upsebum on your scalp and lead to a smell. If you have an oily scalp or super thin hair, consider washing your hair with a mild shampoo every two days to keep the sebum levels in check.
2. Hair that sweats Alot
Sweat is a common cause of smelly hair. When you engage in works or activities that made you sweat much, you are bound to have a smelly hair if you don't wash it very well. It can build up a sweat on the scalp.
The pollutants in the air can get deposited on your scalp and cause odors. They mix up with the oils and sebum on your scalp to emit pungent smells.
4. Stress or Hormonal abnormalities
It has been proven that stress can cause the abnormal hormonal function and can lead to excessive production of oil and scalp irritation .
5. How you Diet
You might be surprised that your skin also reacts to the food containing strong odours. Foods like onion and garlic contain oils that can be excreted via the skin on your scalp.
6. Wearing scarf or covering your hair for a long time
I do not doubt the importance of covering your hair maybe while cooking or doing other hygienic duties. But veiling your hair for a long time can make the hair sweat because air is out the the areas. Always allow air into your hair every where you are. Stop veiling your hair unless you are cooking.
Leaving your hat on your hair for prolonged periods can increase sweat on your scalp and hair, causing it to smell.
