Here Are Some Simple Tips That Will Help You Get Rid Of Puffy Eyes

Puffy eyes usually occur due to tiredness after sleeping or can be caused by fatigue before or after sleep. I remember those mornings when I wake up and go to the bathroom only to stare at the mirror at some serious puffy eyes, not a great way to start my day. No matter how healthy or committed we are to self care most of us had to deal with puffy eyes from time to time.

Your eyes can puff up for some reasons like lack of sleep, too much alcohol, too much salt, staying up too late at night watching your favorite TV show, dust allergy or even stress, it can also be related to your lifestyle which means you can do your best to avoid it. Well, I have discovered a few things that can help you get rid of your puffy eyes.

Change the way you sleep

If your eyes are always puffy when you wake up from sleep in the morning, you need to adjust the way you sleep, either you sleep on your back or use pillow to elevate your head to encourage fluid to drain away from your face and eyes.

Blink Rapidly

Remember when you are in deep sleep you do not blink, which can lead to fluid build up around the eyes. After getting up in the morning blink rapidly for like 30 seconds to help fluid dissipate.

Use Tea Bags

Wet two tea bags in cool water and place them on your puffy eyes for five minutes.

Drink plenty of water

Drinking water is one of the easiest way to get rid of puffy eyes. Water helps flush toxins out from the body. Stay well hydrated by drinking at least 8 to 10 glasses of water each day.

Avoid Touching your eyes

It is so difficult not to touch your eyes especially when they are feeling dry or itchy, But in so doing you are just going to make them feel even drier and itchier. Plus, the area around your eyes is the most sensitive area on your face. If you must touch or rub your eyes, use a cool wash cloth on your eyes to reduce discomfort.

Use chilled spoons

Put two metal spoons in the refrigerator or hold them under cold running water to your eye lids for 30 to 60 seconds. The cold chilled spoon will revive your puffy eyes.

Use Cucumber

When your eyes are puffy, cut two slices of cucumber, lie down and place them on your puffy eyes for 30 minutes, once you are up your eyes will be brighter.
