Aloe Vera—A Wonder Plant

Aloe Vera is a flowering succulent plant of the Asphodelaceae Family. It is an evergreen perennial that occurs naturally in North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Aloe Vera can be grown in arid, tropical and semi-tropical climates. It has medicinal and agricultural uses and grows successfully indoors as a potted plant. Aloe Vera is used also for decorative purposes. Aloe Vera is regarded as "a wonder plant" due to the fact it moisturises skin, relieves irritation and even acts as natural lube. In ancient times, it is known as a "plant of immortality". Tons of soaps, capsules, sprays and creams contain either the gel or the pulp of the plant because Aloe Vera is made of triangular leaves that contain three layers, with the innermost layer containing 99% water and an abundance of beneficial nutrients such as antioxidants, Vitamin C and Vitamin E.

Benefits Of Aloe Vera

•Aloe Vera moisturises the skin with its beneficial nutrients for dry skin such as skin-brightening Vitamin C, nourishing Vitamin E and antioxidants that strengthen and protect the skin's barrier, resulting in a smoother, softer and healthier-looking complexion.

Aloe Vera has pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe sunburn. It contains sugars such as acemannan that play a role in collagen synthesis and contribute to wound healing as well as bind moisture to the skin which helps treat dryness caused by too much sun exposure.

Aloe Vera contains antimicrobial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties that help treat skin problems such as acne, psoriasis and eczema. Salicylic Acid, an exfoliating agent in Aloe Vera helps unclog pores.

Aloe Vera's gel-like consistency, moisturising and gentle properties make it a good option for shaving and makeup removal.

Aloe Vera can be used to rinse the hair and serves as a nourishing hair mask and a greasy hair solution.

These are some of the reasons why Aloe Vera is regarded as a wonder plant. Please share your thoughts in the comment section. Thank You!
