Activated charcoal has been known to be a great antidote for poison but nowadays more and more benefits and uses have been proposed even though there are no or little scientific research and evidence to back these claims. 1. Helps in teeth whitening: Activated charcoal can remove teeth stains, whiten the teeth and prevent cavities. This claim has not been a hundred percent proven by science.
2. Reduce gas and prevent bloating: Activated charcoal has the ability to bind all the gas causing element and prevent accumulation and formation of intestinal gases.
3. Formulation of skincare products:Activated charcoal can be used as body and facial scrubs, soaps, facial masks and so on when combined with other ingredients. It helps to detoxify the skin and absorb excess oil on the skin.
4. Lowers cholesterol level in the body.
