A lot of men complain of after shave bumps. In fact, over 70 percent of men suffer from razor bumps after shaving. Razor bumps can occur in any area that hair is temporarily removed by shaving, waxing or tweezing.
These bumps occur when hairs curl back into the skin causing your body to perceive them as "foreign" and then produce inflammatory response. This inflammation can cause bumps, pus, discoloration and scars.
Many have been forced to grow beards in order to avoid bumps mostly on the chin. The following simple experimented techniques will keep your chin smooth and free of bumps if don't wish to grow beards.
1. Daily Shaving
Whatever system of shaving you choose, make sure you make your shaving a daily routine. Do this just before you take your bathe in the morning. Why would you shave twice or once a week? As you're about to take your bathe, shave. The grow outs will still be tender and less resistant if you shave them off on daily basis.
2. Shave in the same direction
While shaving any part of your chin or down below, ensure that you shave in the same direction. Avoid moving your razor or stick in opposite directions. Shaving the same section of the skin in different directions will result in bumps.
3. Apply After Shave
Always apply after shave immediately after your shaving. Where there is no after shave, use any alcohol based cologne that is available. Please, this is very important. After shave or cologne disinfects and heals any pores or minor wounds as a result of your shaving.
These three procedures may look simple, but very effective. It has been experimented randomly with over 100 men. It has over 90% success rate. Don't disregard it. Good luck.
