It is a very special day to them, during the celebration, the Federal Government of Nigeria usually give a holiday which always last for 2 days to mark the special event. This public holiday is a holiday which grants the celebrants working in the government and private sector a 2 day off from duty to enable them spend quality time with their friends and family.
On this Sallah festival season, the Muslim community prepare all manner of special food well garnished with assorted Ram, goat and cow meats to mark the occasion, and they leave their doors open for visitors to come in and join them.
Their women are not left out, they dress according to norms guiding the Islam religion, which encourages modesty, decency and also encompasses modest virtues. They don their hijab with pride which they see as a very symbolic cloth worn by religious women of the Islamic faith in accordance to her religious affiliations.
In the undying spirit of this special Sallah Season, we will be celebrating our Muslim women and their unique fashion styles wearing the Hijab.
