4 Things You Should Avoid Rubbing On Your Face To Maintain Clear Skin.

The face is very delicate and can react to anything you apply to it. It is almost a norm for people to apply substances on their face because of what they see online or are told but note that not all home remedies and natural ingredients are safe to use.

Also, according to skin experts, some things should not be applied to your face. Below are four things you should avoid rubbing on your face to maintain clear skin.

1. Toothpaste

Have you tried using toothpaste on your face especially on pimples and notice redness? If yes, then you should know that toothpaste contains powerful properties that can irritate your skin. Interestingly, toothpaste is a popular remedy on some video clips for removing blackheads. However, studies and experts say that using toothpaste on your face can lead to burns and even infections.

2. Bar Soap

Please don't get me wrong, some bar soaps can be smooth and good on the skin. However, before you use any bar soap for your face, it is important to make sure it is formulated and can be used on your face.

Regular soap or bar soap can affect your skin with its natural oils that keep it hydrated. Regardless, skin experts encourage people to use face wash or gentle cleanser for the face.

3. Baking soda

It is better to wash your face with warm water than to use baking soda. It is a no for me because of its multipurpose properties. Baking soda has high alkaline levels which can diminish the pH balance on the face and lead to really dry skin.

4. Hot water

Before I start please note that the best water for washing face in lukewarm water. So applying hot water directly to your face can reduce the moisture in your skin, making it dry and dull. Studies indicate that tot water removes the skin's natural oil leading to dryness.

Like I said lukewarm water is the best as this will help open up your skin pores and loosen the dirt for better cleansing. Finally, it can also help to soften the blackheads and whiteheads in your face making them easier to remove.
