Ingredients You Should Stay Away From When Using Skincare And Cosmetics Products In order To Avoid Health Issues.

Cosmetic products contain thousands of chemicals that are hazardous to your health. There is no pre-approval process in place before a product hits the market and enters your house.

The ingredients on the back of all those bottles in your bathroom are hidden in the tiny print. Many of these synthetic compounds irritate the skin, penetrate the skin and alter the endocrine system, and are carcinogenic.

However, in this article I will be listing out some skincare ingredients you should stay away from. Here are some ingredients to stay away from.

1. Hydroquinone.

Skin lighteners contain this ingredient.

Ochronosis, a skin disorder characterized by "disfiguring and irreversible" blue-black lesions on exposed skin, can be caused by this skin-bleaching chemical. Mercury can be found in illegally imported skin lighteners, which can poison adults and children, and is especially dangerous during pregnancy.

Exfoliants and perfumes contain BHA, which is suspected to be a human carcinogen. BHA damages the liver and promotes stomach tumors such as papillomas and carcinomas in animals. In terms of fragrance, the European Union deems it to be dangerous.

3. Lauryl sulfate (sodium lauryl sulfate) (SLS).

Skin irritation, canker sores, disruptions of the skin's natural oil balance, and eye impairment have all been linked to SLS. It's also thought to be a key cause of acne (particularly cystic acne) around the mouth and chin.

4. Neurotoxins.

Perfume, cologne, conditioner, shampoo, body wash, and moisturizers are just a few examples. Some scent compounds are known neurotoxins, and many of them can cause skin irritation. Allergies, dermatitis, respiratory distress, and possibly reproductive system consequences have been linked to fragrance blends.

5. Parabens.

Parabens, which mimic estrogen, are linked to breast cancer, skin cancer and reduced sperm count. Products that are free of parabens will also be labeled as such. Ingredients having the suffix "paraben" should be avoided.
