What fashionista doesn't enjoy a good pair of shoes? I've produced a list of the oddest shoes in fashion right now, which even the most ardent fashionista may or may not like.
These shoes are unique, amusing, and even disturbing at times. Be prepared for your preconceived views about shoes to be challenged.
1. The Heels of the High-Chair
The high-chair heels are designed to look like a modern high-chair and lift your feet 6 inches off the ground, almost vertically. Because it's a fashion mishap waiting to happen, its creative design creates a striking fashion statement that is maybe better viewed in home décor.
2. The Claw Shoe
With its talon-like heel, this one-of-a-kind shoe is ideal for gothic fashionistas. While working the sacrifice may be a fashion statement, I prefer shoes that don't leave me barefoot.
3. The Corkscrew Center Heel Shoe
The heel on this unusual shoe isn't quite where we're used to seeing it. If it wasn't bizarre enough, the stylish shoe's design also had a corkscrew heel.
While this shoe fulfills one of the most basic functions of a shoe by covering your foot, it lacks another important feature. Fashionistas who are prepared to take a chance on this look should be excellent acrobats, as walking is not an easy task.
4. Shoes Made of Cardboard
On April 18, 2009, artist Mike Leavitt will present a cardboard shoe display in New York City. At first glance, the shoe designs do not appear to be very unique, as they closely resemble the sneaker styles of well-known shoe brands. It is the material that distinguishes them.
While it's a terrific idea for a sustainable fashion statement, these shoes would end up in the recycling bin after a bout of bad weather.
5. The Tarantula Shoe is the World's Most Dangerous Shoe.
The tarantula shoe has a sky-high platform design that could be deadly to weak ankles, but it's the most dangerous shoe in the world for a different reason: a real tarantula is encased in the trendy item.
There's no indication on whether or not this trend violates animal rights, or whether or not the tarantula can be removed. There's no denying, though, that this terrifying sneaker makes a daring and deadly fashion statement.
6. The Gameboy Shoe
Who says fashionistas can't also play video games? This nerdy shoe design includes functional retro Gameboys that can be removed and played. This multi-functional fashion item can be used as a shoe or a portable entertainment system.
7. Hot Wheels Shoes
Ronaldo Frago designed these weird shoes, which aren't actually made by Hot Wheels. Shoes may double as fascinating toys for little children, making them the ideal shoe for mothers on the go. Although the wheels aren't genuine, these practical flats are darling!
8. The Rat Shoe is the most disturbing shoe.
Talk about making a style statement! This eerie sneaker might be ideal for Halloween, as its dead rat design is sure to scare the living daylights out of anyone. This is not a shoe for the faint of heart. What were they thinking, though?
9. Landscape shoe
In terms of appearance and functionality, this tidy sneaker is a walking work of art. Are you a fan of lusher meadows and livestock? If that's the case, this is the sneaker for you. The shoe's distinctive design comprises a tree, a cow, a horse, and scattered lumber.
10. The Pant shoe
It's difficult to tell whether these are shoes, pants, or a combination of the two. While the sneaker style may be comfy and useful off the runways, when nature calls, you'd better be prepared.
Which of these shoes can you rock? Kindly share with us below and also share this article with someone.
