Baby oil is one of those products that doesn’t just smell amazing but is also extremely versatile. It’s therefore not that strange that you can get this product in a ton of different types and forms. No matter what type of baby oil you use, though, these are some very handy things you can use it for.
Check the following tricks below:
1. Prettier manicure
Is it time to give your hands a bit of a manicure? Apply a bit of baby oil to a cotton pad and rub this along your cuticles before applying nail polish. If you accidentally spill some polish on your cuticles, the oil will make it very easy to remove it. That way, your nails will look amazing!
2. Removing a ring from your finger
Did you slip a ring on your finger and is it stuck now? Don’t panic. Grab a bottle of baby oil and rub a little of the oil around the ring. You’ll be able to slip it right off afterwards.
3. Extend your shower gel’s shelf life
Add a bit of baby oil to your bottle of shower gel and mix it together. Not only will your skin feel even softer after you come out of the shower, but your shower gel will also last much longer. It’s a win-win situation!
4. Make your skin softer
Do you have dry or cracked heels? Baby oil can help you out with that. Before you go to bed, rub some of the oil on your heels and put on socks. The oil will nourish and soften your skin. The next day your feet will already feel much softer.
5. Make-up remover
Are you having trouble properly removing your mascara? Apply a few drops of baby oil to a cotton pad and carefully rub this on the leftover mascara on your eyelashes. This will work wonders!
6. Shaving
You can use baby oil to get super smooth results after shaving. Thanks to the oil, your razor will slide over your skin very smoothly and it will reduce the chance of irritation. Do be careful that you don’t spill oil because if the oil gets on the floor of your shower, it’ll become very slippery and you might slip and fall.
7. Remove stickers
Are you unable to remove stubborn stickers from surfaces? Rub a bit of baby oil on the sticker in question and let it sit for a minute or two. It’ll come loose a lot easier when you come back to it.
8. Remove paint stains
Have you been busy with a brush and some paint and are you left with paint stains on your skin? Or have you dyed your hair but has some of the dye ended up on your skin? You can easily remove this with baby oil. Rub the oil onto the stain on your skin and let it soak for a few minutes before wiping it off again. This is much better for your skin than roughly scrubbing away the paint.
