Risky Cosmetic enhancement you should avoid to prevent Facial Deformity

While tattoos and piercings have long been popular around the world, as revealed in the Skins and Needles report published by RSPH in 2019, there has been a surge in uptake of equally invasive non-surgical cosmetic procedures, such as dermal fillers, in recent years. Full, sensual lips have long been considered an aesthetic ideal. Lip augmentation with lip implants or dermal fillers plumps up lips and enhances the look of the entire face.

Here are facial cosmetic surgery that can be risky if not done properly by a professional.

Facial Implants

A facial implant is surgery to enhance or balance the appearance of your face using sculpted prostheses. Most people have a facial implant for cosmetic reasons. It can correct uneven facial features or it can create a more youthful look. Most facial implants are successful, but complications may become serious and life threatening in some cases if not done by an experienced professional.

Complications of a facial implant include:

(a) Changes in sensation or numbness

(b) Chronic pain

(c) Damage to nerves, blood vessels, muscles, gums or teeth.

Lip Fillers

Face and lip fillers (dermal fillers) are substances injected into your face. They fill lines and wrinkles and add volume to areas such as your lips or cheeks. The risks of dermal fillers depend on whether the procedure was done correctly and the type of filler used. Speak to your practitioner about the risks.

Serious problems are rare but can include:

(a) infection

(b) the filler moving away from the intended treatment area, which may need to be removed using surgery

(c) blocked blood vessels in the face, which can cause tissue death and permanent blindness.
