1. Coconut oil pulling: This is an ancient Indian folk remedy that helps to whiten your teeth and gives you a fresh breath. This involves swishing oil around your mouth like a conventional mouthwash. According to claims, doing this helps to reduce the number of plagues harmful bacteria in the mouth which helps to brighten up the teeth.
How To Use: Get a tablespoon of coconut oil and use it to rinse your mouth for about 10-15 minutes before spitting it out. While doing this, ensure that the oil does not touch the back of your throat or swallow it as it contains bacteria and toxins from your mouth.

2. Apple cider vinegar: This is another natural ingredient that can help whiten teeth. It helps in fighting against pathogens and bacteria.
How To Use: You can make a mouth wash by adding 6 ounces of water to 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. Use it to rinse your mouth for about 1 minute before rinsing your mouth with water. Repeat this process at least once every day.

3. Brushing with baking soda: Baking soda is a very popular ingredient in toothpaste because of its natural whitening properties. It is a mild abrasive that helps scrub out stains on teeth. It also helps to create an alkaline environment in your mouth that prevents the growth of bacteria.
How To Use: Mix teaspoon of baking soda with 2 teaspoons of water and use it to brush your teeth. You can repeat this process two to three times per week for faster results.

4. Lemon and orange peel: It is believed that the compound d-limonene and citric acid that is found in the peels of citrus fruits help to make the teeth whiter.
How To Use: Gently massage your teeth with the peels of orange or lemon for about 2 to 3 minutes before rinsing your mouth thoroughly with cold water.
