5 Foods To Eat If You Experience Heartburn.

When stomach acid rises in your throat, heartburn results. It is also referred to as gastroesophageal reflux disease or acid reflux.

Foods that can help prevent heartburn include, in accordance with WebMD:

One: Oatmeal

It's a great way to start the day. Oatmeal provides a lot of beneficial fiber, doesn't cause reflux, and fills you up.

Whites of eggs

Egg whites have a low acid content and are a great source of protein. Simply avoid the yolk since it is more likely to cause symptoms.

3. Bread

Choose whole-grain products since they are manufactured with unprocessed grains and will appear first on the ingredient list. Refined grains, which are devoid of natural fiber, vitamins, and other nutrients, may be used to make other breads that have a healthy-sounding name, such as wheat, whole-wheat, or 7-grain.

4. The potato. In addition to onions, other root vegetables are beneficial for those who get heartburn.

5. Fish

Fish is delicious whether grilled, poached, or baked. Simply avoid frying it or using heavy sauces.
