How to make a crunchy Grasshopper fry

In my previous article, I taught you on the benefits of eating Grasshopper.

In this article, my focus is mainly on how to make fried Grasshopper.

Fried Grasshopper taste very good and crunchy. There are many ways of making a Grasshopper diet but I will be teaching you only how to make fried Grasshopper.


4 cups of Grasshopper ( depending on number of people)

Groundnut Oil(500ml)

Salt and Pepper to taste

Onions (1 bulb)

Saint leaf ( few leafs)


Step 1

Wash the Grasshoppers properly to remove sand and dirt.

Remove it's biggest limb, while washing after which you place the properly washed Grasshopper on a seive to drain the water in it.

Step 2

Add salt and pepper to it and mix well until the ingredients circulates to all the Grasshoppers.

Step 3

Make your fire and place your clean frying pot on it.

Add the Groundnut Oil and wait for 5 minutes till it boils to avoid the Grasshoppers being soaked up with Oil.

Step 4

Scoop your drained and seasoned Grasshopper into the boiling Oil.

Add your saint saint leave and onions to enhance taste and flavour.

Turn till it is properly cooked for about 5 minutes.

Step 5

Scoop the properly fried Grasshopper into a seive to drain the Oil.

Chop your Onions, cabbage or anything you want to eat it with and add to it.

Your fried Grasshopper is ready for consumption.
