The Agbalumo or Udara is a fruit native to West Africa it's an exotic fruit which has a chewable edible skin that ranges in colour from green to orange, depending on the stage of ripeness.
So The correct English name for the Udara Agbalumo fruit is 'African Star Apple' and its Botanical Name (B.N) is Chrysophyllum africanum.
In Nigeria the African Star Apple is known as Udara by the igbos while Agbalumo by the Yoruba, it also has it various names in different places in Nigeria. It's called Sunan Udara by the Hausa in Nigeria.
