We all know eggs are laid by female animals of Many different species including birds, reptiles etc. But I'm referring to the popular edible eggs laid by hen .

Eggs are known today for the most nutritious food on earth. Infact, a whole egg i.e. one egg has all the nutrients needed from an entire chicken .

Over the years, it has been discovered that the yolk in an egg contains a very high cholesterol which isn't very good for the body as it reduces the natural cholesterol produced by the body.

This cholesterol isn't seen as a good requirement for the body this is because studies have linked high levels of cholesterol with heart disease and early death.

Yes, cholesterol plays a vital role in the body as it is used to make steroid hormones like testosterone, estrogen and cortisol , knowing this is vital to the organs, the liver always supply adequate cholesterol for the organs but when you consume cholesterol foods such as egg, it increases the amount of cholesterol in your body and triggers the natural cholesterol supplied by the body which isn't good for the proper performance of the body system .

In essence, your liver produces large amounts of cholesterol so whenever you consume cholesterol foods like eggs, your liver compensates by producing less natural cholesterol.

The above reason is why we have been advised to limit our consumption of eggs especially the yolks .

The science made it clear that 2 or 3eggs at most per day is perfectly safe for the health of people.
