It is very obvious that many Nigerians especially the igbos loves oha soup very well. The Yoruba's too loves it to the core even making them to place an order for the delicacy inorder for them to satisfy their taste. I have experienced a situation whereby I want to a restaurant , on reaching there I saw some alhaji eating . Me going close to place my order to my greatest surprise they are eating this oha soup with garri .
I gradually and humbly asked them inorder not to insult them in anyway why they love the food. They told me they just love it and their wives don't know how to prepare them so i decided going into writting procedures in how to prepare them.
Here is the simple procedure in preparing oha soup ;
*STEP 1: Get your ingredients ready including your leaf down.
*STEP 2 : Add water in the pot to your desired taste.
*STEP 3: Put in your red oil, stock fish , meat, pepper , salt and maggi , then allow to boil very well.
* STEP 4: Then add your grinded " Achi" or "Offor" , allow to boil very well. It will start getting thick after sometime depending the type of water in the pot.
* STEP 5: Then add your Oha leaf and wait to boil for some time and then bring down from the fire. Good is ready to be served.
NOTE:: While all this process is going on, make sure you keep on tasting the soup to know the level of salt in it and pepper in it.
