How many of us have ever thought about the fact that crayfish actually has nutrients it gives to the body? Most of us do not even consider it as food, we majorly see it as what we use to add flavour and deliciousness to our food.

It recently occurred to me that we never really talk about crayfish and the abundant nutrients it blesses the body with each time we cook with it, so I did some research, and I will tell you all I learned about this amazing food.

Crayfish is a seafood. It is in the same family with prawns, crabs, and lobsters, which is why you can find crabs and prawns in your crayfish sometimes.

If just one handful of crayfish contains 202.3 milligrams of potassium which is about 20% of the required daily dosage for potassium, that means cooking your breakfast, lunch and dinner with one handful each guarantees that your body gets almost all the potassium it needs everyday.

2. It is very good for your bones and helps to prevent bone diseases. Regular and consistent use of crayfish in most of your dishes helps to keep your bones strong and healthy.
