How to make ice cream without an ice cream maker at home

Ice cream is one of my favorite that I love so much. My love for ice cream make me always search online on how to make my own ice cream at home, but unfortunately all the recipe I do read online doesn’t work out for me, because it always include using ice cream maker or machine to get it done. Luckily for me I came across this concept online which says I can make ice cream at home without an ice cream maker. I was baffled at first because it almost seems too easy to be true, but I gave it a try, and to my amazement, it really comes out good, as in extremely good. So if you have also been looking for a way to make your own ice cream at home without the machine, worry no more, because this is definitely going to work out for you. So all you have to do is to follow this simple way I will be showing you below.

Ingredients: the amazing part of it is that it doesn’t require much ingredients and the preparation is very easy. So here are the ingredients that we will need for making our ice cream.

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

¾ cup sugar

2 ¼ cups milk

Step1. Freeze an empty freezer-safe bowl or pan. In a large bowl, mix all your ingredients till they are well integrated (until you can’t feel the sugar). Make sure the sugar is completely dissolved before you freeze the mixture.

Step2. After the thorough mixing, bring out the cold pan or bowl from the freezer and pour your mixture into the cold pan or bowl. Now put it back in the freezer and let it freeze for 20-30 minutes.

Step3. After freezing for 20-30 minutes, check the ice cream, the edges should have start freezing. Take out the mixture and beat it using your hand mixer. Breaking the ice cream will make it more smooth and creamy. But make sure you don’t beat the mixture too much.

Step4. Return the mixture back to the freezer and continue beating the ice cream every 30 minutes. Make sure you repeat this until it is firmly frozen. Once it has frozen, you will see that the mixture will be well smoothen and creamy. If it becomes too hard, transfer it to a refrigerator until it becomes soft enough to serve.

And that is it about how to make your homemade ice cream. You can also store it in a covered freezer container until it is ready to be served.
