Fruit Cake : Recipes Used And Directions On How To Prepare It

Fruit cakes are obviously rich in mixed fruits and much enjoyed when mature. Adding nuts to it makes it more nutritious and mind-blowing. It is highly recommended for weddings and could be stored cool for over a year.This kind of cakes are rare to purchase and is therefore very great to be learnt so that we can be able to practice doing them at home.

500g Butter

300g Sugar

600g Flour

6 eggs

1/2 tsp Mixed Spice

1 tsp Baking Powder

1/8 tsp Cinnamon, ground

Mixed fruits or Raisins, as desired


2 tsp Vanilla Essence


Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. 

Sift flour and other dry ingredients. 

Beat eggs till light and fluffy. 

Put eggs into butter mixture. alternating with the dry ingredients. 

Pour in the fruits, browning and your flavour. 

Pour into an 8 inch pan and bake in a pre-heated oven.
