Learn How to Make Delicious Pot of OFADA SAUCE, Step by Step Picture Guide

Good day my humble friends! It's been a while since I last post, I am deeply sorry for that. I was seriously very sick that's why I couldn't post anything, but now Am fine and back to posting your delighted dishes and snacks.

Our Recipe for today is OFADA SAUCE. I know a lot of you are already familiar with this mouthwatering and delicious local Sauce that speaks directly to the soul. There are different ways to make this sauce, but the ingredients are usually the same.

There are also two major types.

One is made with Green Peppers, The other with Red Peppers. You can choose to use anyone or just mix them like I do sometimes. I will be showing you my favourite way of making this sauce. It's with Red Peppers.


Red Bell Pepper (Tatashey)

Scotch bonnet/Habanero pepper (Ata rodo)

Red Chilli Pepper (Shombo)

Palm oil

Iru (locust beans)

Beef Stock

Assorted meats (Cow Tripes, Liver, Heart etc.)

Smoked Fish

Seasoning Cube

Chopped onions

Ground crayfish

Salt

Boiled Egg (optional)

STEP 1

Get a clean pot, add some palm oil, bleach palm oil as you can see in the picture, add some of your onions,

STEP 2

Get your assorted, pour into your pot, let it fry a bit, scoop out when it's fried,

STEP 3

Add some locust beans, add pepper mixture, pour some grounded crayfish, add seasoning,

STEP 4

Add some salt, add your meat stock(if you have), stir and allow it fry a bit, when it's fried, pour back your assorted,

STEP 5

Stir assorted with sauce, drop some of your boiled egg, stir well and adjust seasoning and salt to taste

Finally serve and enjoy your delicious pot of OFADA Sauce
