Hello foodies, today i will be teaching you how to make Nigerian homemade stew and white rice, fried plantain and peas, see how to make it below.
What you will need
Fresh red pepper
Garlic and ginger (optional)
Vegetable or palm oil( your choice)
Adobo all-purpose seasoning (or whichever seasoning you prefer)
How to prepare
Blend tomatoes, pepper, tatashe, and onions
Boil to dry out the water
Boil meat with blended fresh pepper, onions, garlic and ginger, Maggi, salt, curry, thyme, and another seasoning of your choice.
When the meat is cook, you can fry or not ( your choice)
Heat oil in a pan and fry chopped onions until it’s golden brown.
Pour into the pot of tomatoes and fry until the oil comes up ( the reason you first boil the tomatoes and then fry is that you want to reduce the soured taste tomatoes has)
Add meat stock and cook until the oil comes up again
Usually the seasoning in the meat should be enough, to make it taste good, but you can taste and see if more is needed.
Add meat and fish at this juncture and cook for another 5/10 minutes or more if you like the meat to soak up more of the stew.
