Here Are Seven Natural Foods That Will Make You Look Younger

Everyday, our bodies get older. From the Sun to the climate and gravity, everything in the world seems to be working against our bodies and makes us age even faster. And it seems we cannot avoid aging.

Nonetheless, nature has gifted us some natural foods that can help us age better.

1. Spices

Spices are not only good for adding flavour to our food. They could also spice our aging process. Researchers have found that some spices can help your skin look fresher and younger.

Cinnamon has been found to increase collagen production which can lead to increased skin firmness and elasticity.

Chilli peppers contain capsaicin which reduces age-related changes in skin cells. Furthermore, ginger contains a substance called gingerol which has anti-inflammatory effects that may help prevent age spots that appear on exposure to the sun.

2. Avocados

Avocado (pear) is rich in fat fiber and several vitamins and minerals that are quite healthy. They contain unique compounds like polyhydroxylated fatty alcohols that can fight inflammation of the skin on exposure to sunlight.

3. Tomatoes

Tomatoes have been found to be highly health-improving foods because of their high lycopene content.

4. Bone Broth

Many vegetables are also high in carotenoids like beta carotene. These can protect the skin against oxidation and free radicals which cause aging.

Some vegetable sources of beta carotene include carrots, pumpkin and sweet potatoes.

7. Dark chocolates/cocoa

The antioxidant profile of dark chocolate is second to none. It is even more powerful than acai berries, blueberries, and cranberries.

Researchers have found that dark chocolates can reduce blood pressure, increase insulin sensitivity, and improve the arterial function and elasticity of the skin.
