Flour. 3cups (0.71 l)
Salt. 1 teaspoon
Warm Milk. 1/2 cup (0.47 l)
Egg white for glazing the dough
Warm Water. 1/4cup (0.95 l)
Yeast. 4 teaspoons
Step 1: Activate your yeast, by combining 1/4 cup (0.95 l) of warm water and half teaspoon of sugar, then add your 4 teaspoon of yeast.
Note: If the the yeast does not foam (i.e does not activate), then you need to get a fresh yeast.
Step 2: Mix your dry ingredients together (flour, salt, sugar).
Step 3: Then add the 70g of butter with the flour mixture.
Step 4: Gradually add your activated yeast, warm milk, egg and then water in little bits to the mixture. Knead well and make sure the ingredients are well incorporated.
Step 5: After kneading well, cover the dough with a nylon or (thick) towel. Then let it (the dough) rise (double).
Step 6: When the dough has risen. Knead again and cut the dough into 12 pieces and knead the individual dough into a round shape.
Step 7: Rub your baking pan/ sheet with butter, then arrange the well-rounded dough in the baking sheet/ pan. Then cover again and let it rise (double).
Step 8: Preheat your oven.
Step 9: When the dough has risen, glaze each of the dough (using a brush) with egg white. Then place in the oven and allow baking for 20 to 25 minutes until the crust is golden brown. Bring it out and allow to cool.
Then it is READY!!!
