Try Eating Rice With Vegetable Sauce Instead Of Tomato Stew

Rice and stew are food consumed by everyone. Instead of consuming rice with stew, you can also eat rice with vegetable sauce. It is commonly served in parties, in combination with white rice and it is nutritious. These food combination is reliable and can be prepared within a short period of time.

In preparing rice with vegetable sauce certain ingredients are used so as to make it taste well. The ingredients used in preparing these foods are cheap. Below are the ingredients you need to prepare rice with vegetable sauce.

• Salt.

• Fresh tomatoes.

• Carrot.

• Fresh pepper.

• Onions.

• Seasoning cube.

• Groundnut oil.

• Pumpkin leaf (ugu).

• Meat.

Method Of Preparation.

Step 1: You first start by cooking your rice. Parboil the rice for 30 minutes. Then drain the water and wash the rice. Put the rice in the pot, add water and cook till it is done.

STEP 2: Start preparing your vegetable sauce by cutting pumpkin leaves, carrots, tomatoes, red pepper, onions and put them aside.

STEP 3: Wash your meat and put in a clean pot, add seasoning cube, onions, salt and cook for 20-25 minutes. Then bring down the pot.

STEP 3: Heat your groundnut oil in a sauce pan and add onions, stir for 10 seconds and add tomatoes and grounded fresh pepper, cook for another 3 minutes and add carrots, stir for 2 minutes. 

STEP 4: Add seasoning cube and salt to make it have taste and stir. Add the meat sauce to the mixture. Add seasoning powder, add the meat and vegetable. Stir it and allow it to cook for 3 minutes. You can now bring down your pot from the fire.
