Having the freedom to eat what you want and go where you want is one of the best feelings of being an adult. Nevertheless, care has to be taken because this freedom comes with its limitations. Even if you don't feel any different than you did in your teens and twenties, the body changes in ways that make it harder to lose weight and remain in good health. To help you age gracefully into a body you'll want to flaunt no matter how many years go by, there are certain foods you need to avoid once you clock 30 years. 

Some of such foods include; 

1. Flavoured yoghurt

Even if you are avoiding candies and other sweet foods, don't think that's all. Many sources of the sweet stuff are hiding in less obvious places like bread, ketchup, and flavoured yoghurts. Flavoured yogurt can have as much sugar as a bowl of ice cream if you're not careful. Avoid sugary foods completely because there are not healthy for you.

2. Canned soup

Even if you can't cook your soup, find an alternative because canned soup is not healthy for you. Canned soup is high in sodium which makes them not healthy for the body. Studies have found a relationship between high blood pressure and skin ageing. 

3. Charred meat

Charred meat has already been grilled hence there are not healthy for the body. Grilling is a quick way to whip up a meal and it's obviously a summer staple, but cooking steaks and other proteins at such high temperatures over an open flame can produce heterocyclic amines (HCAs) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). These harmful chemicals have been found to alter the DNA and increase your risk of cancer. Desist from the intake of this meat.

4. Soda

As you age, you must desist from the intake of soft drinks because the consequences are numerous. Soda is loaded with potentially cancer-causing dyes and are the primary source of added sugar many peoples diet. And not only does sugar negatively impact ovulation, but it's also been linked to poorer sperm motility, too. Consuming soda can decrease your chances of conceiving hence desist from soda intake.

5. Alcohol

This substance can damage different organs in the body even as we age. As we grow old, the body doesn't metabolize alcohol as efficiently, and drunk junk food cravings become harder to ignore. It also becomes increasingly difficult to get a good night's rest with alcohol in your system. While you may have been able to get away with minimal sleep in your 20s, that's not the case in your 30s and beyond. Sleepless nights lead to carb and sugar cravings the next day, which can contribute to further weight gain. Reduce the amount of alcohol you consume even as you age. 

6. Produce loaded with pesticides

Toxins are very dangerous to your health and system even as you age. Reaching 30 means that you've had three decades to accumulate toxins from food, which can negatively affect metabolism and hormone balance. The most popular produce that has the highest amounts of pesticides and should be organic whenever possible include apples, strawberries, grapes, celery, peaches, spinach, bell peppers, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes. Consuming foods with a high pesticide in them can also reduce your chances of conceiving. 

7. Margarine

Margarine might taste good in the mouth but it is not healthy for you in the long term. Butter alternatives like margarine are often made with partially hydrogenated oils, one of the most common trans-fats. You may have heard that this type of fat is linked to heart disease, but what most people don't know is that it may also accelerate the skin's aging process by making the skin more vulnerable to ultraviolet radiation. When the skin gets damaged by the sun, it breaks down the skin's elastin and collagen. Reduce the amount of margarine you consume to stay healthy.
