See the best way to enjoy your white rice and stew

Rice and stew is the most common food we love consuming as it is less time consuming and delicious especially when you dish your cooked rice with delicious stew that has great aroma.

Basically, children of nowadays don't joke with rice and stew as they will keep asking for more. In this article, we will be putting you through on how to prepare white rice and delicious stew within a short time. It is time to surprise your family with an exceptional meal.

Ingredients needed

· Rice

· Salt

· Rodo

· Bell pepper (Tatashe)

· Tomatoes

· Onions

· Beef meat

· Crayfish (grounded)

· Fish (either dried or fresh)

· Seasoning cubes

· Vegetable oil

· Curry powder

· Thyme


Pour your rice into a bowl depending on the quantity of rice you want to cook. Wash the rice thoroughly to remove the dirts. Drain in a sieve and set it aside.

2. In a clean pot, pour enough water that will cook the rice properly. Place the pot of water on the medium heat flame and cover until it boils.

3. Add your washed rice in the boiled water, add salt to taste and 1/2 teaspoon of vegetable oil to prevent the rice water from messing up the back of the pot. Cover and allow it to boil.

4. After the rice is done remove it from the flame and transfer it into a cooler and cover. And if the water is to much and you are okay with the level of cooking, just transfer it into a sieve and drain out the water before transferring it into the cooler.

5. It time to prepare our stew. First wash the meat and fish if you are using fresh fish. Transfer into the pot and add your seasoning cubes, diced onions and salt to taste.

6. Place the pot on the medium heat flame and allow it to boil for about fifteen minutes.

7. Wash your tomatoes, rodo, bell pepper and onions. Blend the above and transfer into a bowl and also dice your onions into a bowl and set it aside.

8. Place a clean pot on the medium heat flame, pour enough vegetable oil. Allow to sit for about 3 minutes to become hot. Add your diced onions and allow it to fry a little bit.

9. Add your blended pepper mixture and cover for about 10 minutes. Then add your meat and fish. Also add your seasoning cubes, salt to taste, crayfish, curry and thyme. Add little stock and cover for about 10 minutes.

10. Your stew is ready. It's time to serve our rice and stew.
