No monopoly whatsoever should be applied when it comes to food, rather we should learn to eat from a broad spectrum of delicious and healthy foods, there are three periods in a day where we have to eat, morning (for breakfast), afternoon (lunch) and evening (dinner), these periods have different foods that suit them, but picking the best foods option to eat in the morning and monopolizing it is not the best thing to do.

With my childhood experience of eating bread, egg, and tea almost every morning, I got so used to the food that it was hard for me to see other foods as suitable foods for breakfast, well, that has changed after making conscious effort, bread, egg, and tea is a good pick for morning food, but it is not the only good option out there, other foods options are best eaten in the morning, some of which you'll get to see in this article.

Breakfast as it is popularly referred to is the first meal we eat in a day, it should be laced with essential nutrients that are needed to go through the morning till we eat the next meal, lunch. Eggs for breakfast can be combined with other foods like bread, yam, etc. It is a nutritious food and it can be prepared in different ways, we have fried eggs, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, etc. Eggs are rich in vitamin B12, vitamin A, vitamin D, egg also contains choline, an important nutrient for humans. Banana is a sweet fruit that can serve a wide range of purposes, it can be eaten as breakfast and it has good health benefits making it a healthy morning food, this fruit can be eaten based on the individual's choice and there would hardly be a need to regret eating bananas for breakfast, bananas are rich in fibres, iron, vitamin C, potassium, vitamin B6 and folate, the last two nutrients (vitamin B6 and folate) help it the production of serotonin which helps improve our mood and reduce anxiety, this is a good food to start the day, right?

4. Oatmeal.

This is a well-known morning food, you need not think too much about a food like this, I can assure you that you have no issue when you eat oatmeal moderately for breakfast. Oatmeal is rich in beta-glucan fibre, which helps lower cholesterol.

5. Breakfast Cereals.

Breakfast cereals like cornflakes, and more are healthy foods and as the name implies they are typical breakfast foods, nutrients such as calcium, vitamin B6, dietary fibre, iron, and more are part of the nutrients that breakfast cereals offer, you can eat them in place of bread and tea for breakfast.
